Diving in Northern North Male

The northern section of North Male is slightly less popular than some of the southern sites but has no less interesting sites to dive. One of the most interesting is the Lady Christine shipwreck on the northwest side of Gaafaru. It ran aground on April 16, 1974, while working on a communication cable project for the Maldives. Today it is a 30m/98feet long dive site with a wide array of fish, eels, turtles, rays, and sharks. There is an extensive cave network to discover as well as diver make their way to the wreckage.
