Diving in Koh Lipe

The small island of Koh Lipe is flung far from the shores of Thailand, so far in fact you can see Malaysia’s Langkawi on a clear day. Part of the Adang Archipelago it is a somewhat secret dive spot, with calm, clear waters and dive sites such as the pinnacles of Stone Henge, with its beautiful coral garden as well as leopard sharks and moray eels and grouper. Make sure to explore 8 Mile Rock, too, with its exposed pinnacle. Here the marine life is exceptional, with whale sharks and devil rays, barracuda and trevally. They say 25 per cent of the world’s tropical fish species are found here as well as majestic dugong.
