Diving in The Exumas

Exuma is simply paradise found. Also known in the plural format as “The Exumas,”over 365 islands make up this district of the Bahamas. It doesn’t get much more beautiful than these pristine islands, also known as cays, surrounded by crystal-clear sapphire-blue water. This exotic location is the playground for the rich and famous with ultra-exclusive resorts and private homes of the world’s most famous stars. The Exumas are home to some of the most unique attractions in the Bahamas like Pig Beach, where you can play and swim with feral pigs, the stromatolites, where you can dive among the oldest known macro-fossils on earth, and Moria Harbour Cay National Park where you can dive and explore sand dunes, white beaches, and rolling sea grass beds. The diving here is fantastic with clear water and water temperatures rarely dropping below 80º F (27ºC). The ‘off-season’ is May-October due to this area’s exposure to hurricanes. Getting to the Exumas is easier than ever before with direct flights from Miami, Toronto, Nassau, and Atlanta into George Town.
